Microneedling Aftercare
Post Treatment Expectations
- Following your treatment, you may look and feel as though you have moderate sunburn. This is normal and usually subsides within 1 – 2 hours and will diminish within 24 hours
- Your skin is likely to feel tight for up to 24 hours post treatment
Post Treatment Aftercare
- Avoid sun or other prolonged UV exposure for 14 days post treatment to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation or darker pigmentation. SPF and antioxidant protection must be worn post-treatment. You will be advised on suitable aftercare products
- Avoid vigorous exercise, sauna/steam room/hot baths, and any other heat treatments for 48 hours post treatment
- No facial treatments for at least 7 days post treatment
- Do not apply makeup for at least 24 hours post-treatment
- Do not use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) or anything perceived as ‘active’ skincare for 7 days post treatment
